On Day 4 of the 3rd Test, rising star Yashasvi Jaiswal went on to smash his second double century against England at the now-renamed Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. Despite battling back spasms following his century on Day 3 and being forced to leave the crease by skipper Rohit Sharma, he earned a standing ovation from the crowd. Even England coach Baz McCullum was among those seen applauding Jaiswal's remarkable display.

Returning to the crease on Day 4 after Shubman Gill's dismissal for 91, Jaiswal reached his 200 off 221 balls, displaying a stellar innings comprising 14 fours and 10 sixes.

Even his partner Sarfaraz Khan got his half-century in 59 balls, smashing 5 fours and 1 six.

Witnessing their performances, netizens flooded social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to shower praises on the Indian talents Jaiswal and Sarfaraz for their exceptional batting prowess.

At the time of writing this article, India had amassed 411 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 97 overs, extending their lead to 538 runs with Jaiswal and Sarfaraz posting a 154-run partnership. Jaiswal scored 213 while Sarfaraz posted 51 runs.

In the clash, following skipper Rohit Sharma's dismissal for 19, Rajat Patidar quickly fell with a 10-ball duck. Night-watchman Kuldeep Yadav then partnered with Gill, but the latter was later run out, followed by Kuldeep's departure after scoring 27 runs.

For the Three Lions, Joe Root, Rehan Ahmed, and Tom Hartley each have one wicket to their name. The visitors are in dire need of wickets to limit India's lead and chase down the target.
