Yashasvi Jaiswal, the young Indian batter, has been in exceptional form since the 1st Test against England and has now achieved another significant milestone as he became the second-fastest Indian batter to reach 1,000 Test runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal accomplished this feat in just 16 innings. 

The left-handed batter, who smashed his half-century on Day 1 of the ongoing fifth and final Test against the Three Lions at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala had reached this milestone with his 29th run. Additionally, he has also 700 runs in this series.

Jaiswal surpassed Cheteshwar Pujara as the second-fastest Indian to reach this milestone, with Pujara achieving it in 18 innings. Vinod Kambli remains the fastest Indian to achieve this feat, doing so in just 14 innings.
