Day 1 of the fifth and final Test between India and England saw the host spinners bundle out the visitors for 218 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. While Kuldeep Yadav took a five-wicket haul, R Ashwin claimed four wickets to seal the deal.

However, what grabbed the attention of fans was the lovely moment on the field as India walked off happy. The Indian team threw the ball to Ashwin to lead the side off the field, with this being his 100th Test match and having taken four wickets himself. However, Ashwin passed it to Kuldeep for his fifer. The two tossed the ball between them a few times before Kuldeep finally walked off ahead of the team.

BCCI also later shared the video of the player's banter on their social media accounts.

As for the clash, it was not the batting display one would expect from England, especially on one of the best pitches in the series to bat on, if not the best. The Three Lions looked comfortable at 100/1 and even appeared decent at 175/3.

However, they lost 5 wickets for 8 runs and witnessed the batters falling like a pack of cards. Zak Crawley (79) waged a lone battle upfront, but after that, no one had answers to Kuldeep's bowling. Ben Duckett (27), Joe Root (26), Jonny Bairstow (29), and Ben Foakes (24) contributed the remaining runs.

At the toss, the captain of the Three Lions, Ben Stokes, elected to bat first. The team made one change in their Playing 11, with Mark Wood replacing Ollie Robinson. Meanwhile, for India, pacer Jasprit Bumrah returned to the squad in place of Akash Deep. Additionally, Rajat Patidar was sidelined due to injury, and Devdutt Padikkal made his debut.
