What a start for England! Pacer Mark Wood got two centurions from the last game out cheaply in the 3rd Test against India at the now-renamed Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot. He first dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal and later got rid of Shubman Gill.

His first wicket was that of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who had started the game in fine form. It was an excellent delivery, angling across just outside off and finding the edge. The delivery also seemed to nip away a touch off the deck, catching Jaiswal in his crease. He couldn't help but have a poke at it, resulting in a healthy edge straight to Joe Root at first slip. The man in form was sent back rather cheaply for 10(10) [4s-2].

Later, he got Shubman Gill, who never looked set at the crease since he walked in. Gill never appeared comfortable in his short stay at the crease and was dismissed for a duck after facing nine balls. Rohit Sharma looked disappointed at the other end as Shubman Gill returned with his head down.

This delivery was full and angling in just outside off. Gill had to play at it, and it nipped away off the surface to catch a faint nick. Keeper Ben Foakes made no mistake behind the stumps, and England claimed two wickets inside the first half-hour.

As of writing this article, India has lost three wickets in 9 overs and has scored 33 runs. Skipper Rohit Sharma (16) is at the crease as he lost another partner in Rajat Patidar (5). Surely not the ideal start for the Men in Blue who have two debutants in Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel in the squad. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj are back in the team.
