IND vs ENG - Heartbreak for Dhruv Jurel as he is bowled for 90; India's innings ends at 307, trail by 46 runs

After playing so well and smartly, one ball changed the game as Dhruv Jurel missed his well-deserved century by just 10 runs, being bowled for 90 by Tom Hartley on Day 3 of the 4th Test . Surely a heartbreak for the wicketkeeper-batter, but he did put on a brave performance at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

Dhruv Jurel could not believe he missed and looked distraught. However, there was good sportsmanship from the England players who came and congratulated Jurel for his knock. Even umpire Rod Tucker was seen applauding. The crowd, including the Barmy Army, rose to their feet to give the young Indian lad a standing ovation. The Indian team in the dressing room also rose to receive the young man who hit 6 fours and 4 sixes in his beautiful knock.

As for the match, England managed to maintain a 46-run lead, but the momentum will be with India as they managed to reduce the deficit that could have easily been over 120. Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav's partnership at the end surely tilted things a little towards India.

Regarding the Three Lions, Shoaib Bashir ended the day with a fifer while Tom Hartley took three wickets. James Anderson also has two wickets to his name.

On Day 2, England managed to add 51 runs before being bowled out for 353. The standout performance came from Joe Root, who scored a century. Ravindra Jadeja was the star for India, claiming four wickets as he dismantled the lower order. Debutant Akash Deep made an impact by removing the top three batters, and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two wickets.
