At the end of Day 3 of the 3rd Test between India and England at Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot, Ben Duckett praised India's Yashasvi Jaiswal, dubbing him a 'superstar in the making'. However, Duckett also remarked that Jaiswal's aggressive approach mirrored England's renowned 'Bazball' style of Test cricket, crediting his team for influencing opponents to adopt such a bold batting strategy.

"When you see players from the opposition playing like that, it almost feels like we should take some credit that they're playing differently than how other people play Test cricket," Duckett told media during a press conference in Rajkot.

Indian fans, unhappy with this statement, took to social media, particularly X (formerly Twitter), reminding the English side of the legendary Virender Sehwag, known for his aggressive shot-making and instant impact from ball one. Fans demanded acknowledgement of Sehwag's influence on England's aggressive playing style.

Regarding the match, despite suffering from back spasms, Jaiswal courageously continued his innings after reaching his century on Day 3, receiving a standing ovation from the crowd upon retiring hurt. Baz McCullum was even spotted applauding in admiration of Jaiswal's remarkable performance.

On Day 4, after the dismissal of Shubman Gill for 91, Jaiswal returned to the crease and proceeded to notch up his 187 off 212 balls, showcasing a stellar innings comprising 13 fours and 10 sixes.

At the time of writing this article, India had amassed 365 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 88 overs. Sarfaraz Khan remained unbeaten on 34 runs, contributing to India's lead of 491 runs.

After losing skipper Rohit Sharma for 19 to Joe Root, Rajat Patidar followed suit with a 10-ball duck. Night-watchman Kuldeep Yadav then partnered with Gill, but Gill was eventually run out, followed by Kuldeep's departure for 27 runs.
