The 4th Test of the five-match series between India and England currently favours the host, who holds a 2-1 lead. The two teams will now shift their focus to Ranchi, where the fourth game will take place at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) International Stadium complex.

However, what is the weather like in Ranchi during the game days?

The 4th Test is set to take place from February 23 to 27 from 9:30 AM IST. Most days of the tournament will be dry and hot, with temperatures peaking at 27 degrees Celsius. However, if the Test reaches Day 5 (Tuesday), which hasn't happened in the series yet, there is a possibility of rain.

What is India's squad news?

For India, Virat Kohli is out of the series for personal reasons. He revealed later that he and his wife, Anushka Sharma, welcomed their second child, a son, on February 15.

Among other players, KL Rahul, who missed the last two Tests due to a thigh problem, remains absent, while Jasprit Bumrah has been released from the squad for the game to give him rest after bowling 80.5 overs across the first three Tests. 

Seamer Mukesh Kumar, who was released for a Ranji game for his side (Bengal) after the second Test, has been asked to come back to the squad.
