IND vs AUS: Rinku Singh departs early in Bengaluru, registers 1st single digit score in T20I career

The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, known for its high-scoring nature due to small boundaries, witnessed a different story in the fifth and final game between India and Australia as the hosts lost quick wickets.

Following a promising start from Yashasvi Jaiswal (21) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (10), both departed in quick succession. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav, too, didn't stay for long, getting dismissed for 5.

Subsequently, Rinku Singh joined Shreyas Iyer at the crease, but fans were left surprised as he, too, made a swift exit. Attempting a premeditated shot that didn't come off, Rinku skewed the ball off the thick inside half, and Tim David took a diving catch at long-on, inches above the turf. 

Rinku Singh had to depart after scoring 6 runs (8 balls), registering his first single-digit score in his T20I career and smashing one four in his brief innings.

As of the current update, India, after 13 overs, has scored 97 runs and lost four wickets. Shreyas Iyer (28) and Jitesh Sharma (24) aim to set a competitive total for the second innings.
