IND vs AFG - Washington Sundar takes splendid catch, Sanju Samson excellent stumping - Team India good on the field

The third and final T20I between India and Afghanistan witnessed the host nation scoring 212 runs in the allotted 20 overs. However, when coming in to chase, opening batters Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran formed a strong partnership. Nevertheless, it was Kuldeep Yadav who eventually secured a wicket for India, courtesy of Washington Sundar's superb fielding.

Gurbaz, who had just reached his half-century, aimed to accelerate; however, Kuldeep outsmarted him on the final ball of his over. Kuldeep delivered it short and wide off, and Gurbaz, recognizing the width on offer, aggressively went for the cut. 

He executed it high and towards cover, and the ball was travelling, but Washington Sundar timed his leap perfectly, going with both hands and holding on even as he tumbled onto his back. Gurbaz's innings, consisting of 3 fours and 4 sixes, came to an end, and the Men in Blue also broke their partnership.

Soon after, Ibrahim Zadran, who had also achieved his half-century, was stumped by Sanju Samson. Zadran came down the pitch and dragged one down leg. However, Samson reached out to collect the ball, and with lightning-fast speed, got back and broke the stumps.

The other wicket was that of Azmatullah Omarzai, who went for a duck. With three wickets having fallen, Washington Sundar has two to his name, while Kuldeep Yadav has one. After 16 overs, Afghanistan scored 162 runs and need 51 runs in 24 balls to win the game. Their top batters Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib are on the crease.
