Not the start Indian fans were expecting in the third and final T20I game against Afghanistan at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, skipper and opening batter Rohit Sharma lost his partner Yashasvi Jaiswal for just 4 runs. However, the crowd was happy as their favourite Virat Kohli entered the crease. However, the happiness did not last long.

Ibrahim Zadran got the better of the batter, not allowing Kohli to settle. The No. 3 Indian batter attempted to slap-pull the ball, but it only scooped off the bat. It was an easy catch for the fielder at mid-off. The batter intended to move forward, but the bounce deceived him. The ball hit the shoulder of the blade, and Kohli departed for a golden duck.
Soon, the entire crowd, who came to see their Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) boy play, fell silent. Not only that, his wicket was followed by that of Shivam Dube, who had scored half-centuries in the previous games, going for just a run, and Sanju Samson departing for a duck as well.
