ICC T20 World Cup 2024 - Social Media erupts as Virat Kohli features while announcing India vs Pakistan clash in New York

The ICC has unveiled the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024, and what's creating a buzz among fans is the anticipated match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. These neighbouring countries are all set for a thrilling face-off in New York on June 9. Group A sees the Men in Blue alongside Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and tournament co-host United States of America.

Following the revelation of the blockbuster clash, fans flocked to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to express their excitement about the impending face-off between the arch-rivals. Notably, the promo for the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match featured none other than Virat Kohli, grabbing widespread attention.

In other groupings, defending champions England are set against their longstanding rivals Australia. Hosts West Indies compete in Group C with New Zealand, while Group D includes South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The tournament will commence with a match between the USA and Canada on June 1, with Barbados slated to host the final on June 29. Across five venues in the West Indies and three in the USA, a total of 55 matches will unfold. Semifinal games are scheduled for June 26 in Guyana and June 27 in Trinidad.
