On Friday, January 5, the ICC finally unveiled the eagerly awaited schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024. The much-anticipated clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is set to unfold in a high-voltage fixture in New York on June 9.
This tournament will make history with a record number of 20 teams participating for the first time.
In Group A, the Men in Blue find themselves alongside Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and tournament co-host United States of America. Meanwhile, defending champions England are pitted against their perennial rivals Australia. Hosts West Indies are placed in Group C, competing alongside New Zealand, while Group D features South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

The tournament will kick off with a showdown between the USA and Canada on June 1, while Barbados is slated to host the final on June 29. A total of 55 matches will be spread across five venues in the West Indies and three in the USA. The semifinal games are scheduled to take place in Guyana on June 26 and in Trinidad on June 27.
