Among the various messages and wishes, a particular video caught the attention of many, showcasing Kohli's playful and goofy side. From light-hearted banter to sharing laughter and recreating his on-field antics, the former India captain also lovingly called 'Cheeku' demonstrated his ability to entertain and engage his fans.
It is worth noting when Kohli came out to bat, the Eden Gardens echoed with cheers from around 70,000 enthusiastic spectators to welcome the batter. He had come walk in after skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed at 40. In honour of Kohli's birthday celebrations, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) planned to present him with a 'Gold-Plated' bat while the stadium was adorned with 48 special cutouts featuring the cricket maestro.
Notably, Kohli's wife, the renowned actor Anushka Sharma, also took to social media to extend her birthday wishes, playfully referring to his unique bowling figures. While her message made no allusions to his return as a bowler on Sunday, it left fans intrigued and eager for what the day would hold.
