The 2024 F1 season is nearing its end, with only 2 races left. Next weekend, the teams will head to Qatar for the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix. With Max Verstappen having successfully defended his Drivers Championship title with the 10 points he got in Las Vegas, it is now all about the Constructors’ Championship. Lando Norris needed to outscore Max by 3 points to make the Middle East season enders the deciders and stay in the reckoning, but he failed to achieve that, finishing 6th on November 24. This is Verstappen's fourth consecutive win.

McLaren, meanwhile, is still in the lead with 608 points, but Ferrari is only 24 points behind at 584, while Red Bull is at 555. The fight for the title is, undoubtedly, between McLaren and Ferrari, and the latter’s third and fourth position results in Vegas, behind Mercedes’ George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, cut the margin between the top 2 teams by 12 points, down from the previous 36 separating them.

The Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix at the Lusail International Circuit, has additional Sprint points also up for grabs, so the teams will be eyeing to make the most of this race. The racing weekend begins on November 29 with Practice 1 at 7 pm, followed by Sprint Qualifying on the same day at 11 pm. The Sprint race is on November 30 at 6.30 pm, the race Qualifying at 10.30 pm, with the race on December 1 at 10.30 pm. All the F1 action from Qatar can be streamed live on FanCode.

In Qatar, apart from the 44 points a 1-2 finish, with an extra point for fastest lap that a team can get, there are 15 points up for grabs for the first two positions in the Sprint. McLaren and Ferrari will, no doubt, go all out to lay claim to a major chunk of the available points, before the season ender in Abu Dhabi.
