The England cricket team, after a subpar performance in the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023, secured their second win of the tournament by defeating the Netherlands with a commanding 160-run victory at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. This victory keeps the Three Lions' hopes alive for the Champions Trophy 2025.

With just one more match to go for England, they will be facing Pakistan in their final game. Meanwhile, the Netherlands has been eliminated from the semi-final race and currently occupies the bottom spot on the table.

Fans, witnessing England's impressive win, took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their reactions and some light-hearted banter.

In this clash, the England team chose to bat first, amassing a total of 339 runs while losing nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Ben Stokes, making a return from retirement, top-scored with 108 runs, supported by David Malan's 87 and Chris Woakes' 51.

In response, the Netherlands struggled and could only muster 179 runs, getting all-out in 37.2 overs. Teja Nidamanuru was their highest scorer with 41 runs, with Scott Edwards contributing 38 and Sybrand Engelbrecht adding 33 runs.
