The only person to represent India will be HS Prannoy and the Indian shuttler has recently been in excellent form. He played a key role in India's earlier-year Thomas Cup success. Prannoy was also placed third overall on the 2022 BWF World Tour and advanced directly to the championship round.

The Indian shuttler has been placed in a group with China's Lu Guangzu, Japan's Kodai Naraoka, and the current champion Viktor Axelsen, per the most recent draw.
