While some players are playing the New Zealand series, the senior cricketers are preparing for the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This will be the final series before the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL). The Australian team has already begun their journey to India.

Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan are part of the Indian Test team, which was already revealed for the first two matches.

India's Test squad for the first two Tests against Australia: Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KS Bharat (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), R. Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, Suryakumar Yadav.

As the tour is all set to begin in Nagpur on February 9, a look at what the players, who are not part of the T20I series are up to.

Before the games, Virat Kohli, the former captain of India, and his wife Anushka Sharma were seen visiting Rishikesh to seek blessing.

Cheteshwar Pujara, a veteran batter, was practising in the nets in preparation for the Test match.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is at the NCA to resume playing cricket after a gap of more than six months. Jadeja has missed a significant portion of the games due to injuries.

1st Test: Nagpur - February 9-13

2nd Test: Delhi - February 17-21

3rd Test: Dharamsala - March 1-5

4th Test: Ahmedabad - March 9-13
