The Asian rivalry between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is heating up. From 'time-out' celebrations to escalating tensions, the two sides are poised to clash in the second One-Day International (ODI) of the three-game series.

The second ODI match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will take place at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, starting from 2:00 PM IST onwards. Indian fans can catch the matches on the Fancode app and website.

About the BAN vs SL series:

The Bangla Tigers narrowly missed out on victory in the fiercely contested T20 series and sought redemption in the 1st ODI against Sri Lanka earlier this week. As the hosts secured a commanding victory in the first game, they have surely now set the stage for an expected aggressive response from Sri Lanka.

In the first clash, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib took three wickets each while bowling first, restricting the Lankans. Despite good starts from Sri Lanka's Nissanka, Avishka, and Mendis, they failed to convert them into substantial scores. Liyanage's 67-run innings had somehow managed to take Sri Lanka's score to 255 runs.

Coming in to chase, although the hosts faced two early setbacks, with Dilshan Madushanka making notable breakthroughs, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto led from the front, single-handedly securing victory for Bangladesh.

Shanto's remarkable century, scoring an unbeaten 122 runs, propelled Bangladesh to a 1-0 lead. Notably, Mushfiqur Rahim's contribution of 73 runs was equally significant as the hosts convincingly outperformed the Sri Lankan team.
