The 1st T20I clash between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, and Indian fans can view the matches on the Fancode app and website.
Bangladesh will be making a return to T20I action for the first time since their December 2023 trip to New Zealand. However, with nearly all their players recently participating in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 season, they will surely be into the T20 groove. Najmul Hossain Shanto is set to lead the side, which features several in-form batters such as Litton Das, Towhid Hridoy, and Mohammad Naim.

As for Sri Lanka, they will be under the leadership of new captain Charith Asalanka in place of the suspended Wanindu Hasaranga for the first two of three T20Is. They also suffered a blow as their wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Perera has been ruled out with a respiratory infection. Niroshan Dickwella will fly in as his replacement and will join the team on Saturday; the rest of the side flew to Bangladesh on February 29.
In previous encounters between the two teams, Sri Lanka emerged victorious in nine out of 13 T20Is, while Bangladesh secured four wins. Their most recent meeting occurred two years ago during the 2022 Asia Cup held in Dubai.
