Following their thrilling series against Pakistan, Australia is ready to welcome West Indies for a two-match Test series starting this Wednesday. After the Test series, the teams will engage in three ODIs and three T20Is in a tour spanning nearly a month.

The commencement of the series will focus on the Test matches, and the Australian team is aiming to move beyond the David Warner era, who had retired from the longest format of the game during the Pakistan tour. However, for the time being, Steve Smith is looking to fill his spot, with George Bailey confirming that the batter will take on the role of the team's opener.
