Following India's achievement of the #IssBaar100Paar milestone with 107 medals (28 gold, 38 silver, and 41 bronze) in the Asian Games 2023, it's now time for Indian para-athletes to pursue an even greater dream as they gear up for the Asian Para Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
The prestigious event is scheduled to kick off on October 22 and will run until October 28. India is proudly sending its largest-ever contingent, which includes a remarkable 303 athletes, along with 143 officials, escorts, and additional support staff. The primary objective for India is to surpass their previous medal tally of 72, achieved during the 2018 Para Games, and to exceed the impressive milestone of 100 medals.
Indian para-athletes are set to participate in 17 sports, encompassing disciplines such as archery, athletics, badminton, blind football, boccia, canoeing, chess, cycling, judo, lawn bowls, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and wheelchair fencing.
