The day kicked off with the Indian men's cricket team securing their spot in the final of the Asian Games 2023 with a victory over Bangladesh. In another remarkable achievement, Prannoy HS became the second Indian men's singles shuttler in 41 years to claim a bronze medal at the Asian Games. Unfortunately, he faced defeat with a score of 16-21, 9-21 against the local favorite, Li Shi Feng of China in the semifinal held in Hangzhou, China.
