Asian Games Highlights: Satwik-Chirag advance to the FINAL of men's doubles badminton

The day kicked off with the Indian men's cricket team securing their spot in the final of the Asian Games 2023 with a victory over Bangladesh. In another remarkable achievement, Prannoy HS became the second Indian men's singles shuttler in 41 years to claim a bronze medal at the Asian Games. Unfortunately, he faced defeat with a score of 16-21, 9-21 against the local favorite, Li Shi Feng of China in the semifinal held in Hangzhou, China.

Additionally, Indian archers ended a 13-year-long medal drought in the recurve section at the Asian Games. The women's team, consisting of Ankita Bhakat, Simranjeet Kaur, and Bhajan Kaur, secured a bronze medal by defeating Vietnam.

Badminton: India's Satwik/Chirag have powered their way into the final by defeating Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi of Malaysia 21-17, 21-12 in the men's doubles semi-finals. The Indian duo is now set to compete for the gold medal.

Hockey: The Indian men's team defeated Japan 5-1 to clinch the Gold medal. India claims their fourth Asian Games gold! With this win, India also qualified for the Paris Olympics. 

Wrestling: India's Bajrang Punia suffered a 0-10 defeat against Japan's Kaiki Yamaguchi in the men's freestyle 65kg bronze medal match.

Wrestling: India's Aman secures an 11-0 victory against Minghu Liu of China in the men's freestyle 57kg bronze medal match.

Bridge: The Indian men's bridge team concludes with a silver medal.

Wrestling: India's Kiran defeats Mongolia's Ariunjargal Ganbat 6-3 in the women's freestyle 76kg bronze medal match.

Wrestling: Indian wrestler Sonam clinches the bronze medal in the Women's 62kg category. She defeats her strong opponent China's Jia Long.

Cricket: Afghanistan secures a 4-wicket victory over Pakistan, setting up a final showdown against India.

Archery: India's Atanu Das, Dhiraj Bommadevara, and Tushar Prabhakar win silver in the Recurve Men's Archery team event. They lost to Korea in the final.

Kabaddi: India dominated Pakistan with a score of 61-14 to secure their place in the Men's Kabaddi final.

Roller Skating: Greeshma secured the 4th position, while Samhitha claimed the 6th spot in the Women's Artistic Single Free Skating Short Program Finals.

Sepaktakraw: The Women's Regu team has won a bronze at the Asian Games.
