The third day of the Asian Games started with the Indian contingent occupying the sixth position on the Hangzhou 2023 Asian Games table, having secured a total of 11 medals, including two golds.

In an impressive performance, the India men's hockey team secured a resounding victory, defeating Singapore with a remarkable 16-goal margin. However, the upcoming two fixtures against Japan and Pakistan are anticipated to be more challenging tests.

Meanwhile, in the women's squad, Anahat Singh, Joshna Chinappa, and Tanvi Khanna delivered a strong performance, leading India to a 3-0 victory against Pakistan.

Wushu: Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh narrowly misses a medal, losing in the quarterfinals to Korea's Kim Minsoo in the 60 kg category.

Squash: In their second fixture of Pool A, the Indian men's team secured a victory over Qatar. The wins were achieved by Mahesh Mangaonkar (3-0), Saurav Ghosal (3-1), and Abhay Singh (3-1). Earlier in the day, India had also defeated Singapore.

Swimming: India's men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay saw them finish 5th! Set a new national record. They finished the final with a timing of 3:40.20 from their earlier 3:40.84.

Boxing: Narendar defeats his opponent in the very first round with a knockout punch. The opponent was on the floor and the doctor was summoned, and it was determined that the Kyrgyz boxer was unfit to continue the match.

Swimming: Aryan Nehra set a new Indian record in the men's 1500m freestyle with a time of 15:20.91. He secured the 7th position, while Kushagra Rawat finished 8th with a time of 15:44.61.

Tennis: The Mixed Doubles team of Yuki and Ankita secured a convincing victory, defeating Pakistan's Aqeel and Sarah with a score of 6-0, 6-0. They have advanced to the third round of the mixed doubles competition and will face the Philippines in the next round.

Tennis: Sumit Nagal enters singles quarter-finals after defeating B. Zhukayev of Kazakhstan in straight sets. 

Judo: Tulika Mann, competing in the women's 78+ judo contest, faced defeat in the bronze medal clash against Mongolia's Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan. The Mongolian secured victory with an ippon.

Equestrian: The Indian mixed team, comprising Hriday Chheda, Divyakriti Singh, Anush Agarwalla, and Sudipti Hajela, secured a gold medal in the Dressage team event of Equestrian

Sailing: Eabad Ali secured a bronze medal in the Men's Windsurfer RS:X event.

Boxing: In the men's 57kg round of 32, Sachin delivered a powerful finish and all five judges favoured the Indian as he won 5:0.

Tennis: Ramkumar Ramanathan and Rutuja Bhosale both faced defeats in their respective Singles matches. Ankita Raina secured a victory earlier in the day, and Sumit Nagal is set to compete shortly.

Esports: In Street Fighter V, India's Ayan Biswas secured a 2-0 victory in his match against a Saudi Arabian opponent.

Sailing: India's Neha Thakur bags Silver in ILCA4 Girls Sailing event.

Swimming: The Indian Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay team has qualified for the final with a time of 3:40.84, setting a new national record in the process.

Fencing: Bhavani Devi, who won her 5 matches in the group stage, faced a tough challenge against her Chinese opponent. On the piste, the World No. 12 was dominant and claimed a 15-7 win.

Shooting: Divyansh and Ramita finished fourth in the 10m Air Rifle mixed team event. 

Squash: In the Men's Team Pool A fixture, India won 3-0 in the group stage fixture against Singapore. They play again today, taking on Qatar.
