The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, the People's Republic of China, will commence with its opening ceremony on Saturday. The event will take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium, also known as the Big Lotus, a modern venue with a capacity of up to 80,000 spectators. 

Distinguished guests attending the ceremony will include Chinese President Xi Jinping, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Hong Kong China's leader John Lee Ka-chiu, and the Republic of Korea's Prime Minister Han Duck-soo.

Hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and world champion boxer Lovlina Borgohain will proudly carry India's flag at the Hangzhou 2023 opening ceremony. India boasts its largest-ever contingent at the Asian Games, with 655 athletes participating across 39 sports.
