Following a crucial partnership between Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya, keen fans couldn't help but notice that the stadium played 'Ram Siya Ram' whenever an Indian batsman strikes a four or a six. 

This intriguing observation led cricket enthusiasts to take to social media platforms, such as X (formerly known as Twitter), to share their amazement at the irony of 'Ram Siya Ram' resonating in Sri Lanka - the 'Home of Ravana.'

In terms of the match, Shaheen Afridi unleashed a fiery spell, accounting for the dismissals of captain Rohit Sharma (11) and, shortly after, Virat Kohli, who managed only 4 runs. Shreyas Iyer, making his comeback at No.4 after an injury, displayed promise but was sent back for just 14 runs by Haris Rauf. Consequently, India lost three wickets within the opening 10 overs, ushering Ishan Kishan to the crease.

Ishan Kishan and the struggling Shubman Gill managed to add three runs during their brief nine-ball partnership before rain interrupted play, leading to the players leaving the field.
