Smartacus 2024
General
- 1. Participants of Smartacus 2024 need to register themselves on the quiz microsite for the event. If a participant does not register and participates in the Online Qualifier, their entry will be disqualified.
- 2. Participants should provide a valid mobile number at the time of registration. This will be verified using a One Time Password (OTP).
- 3. The mobile number used for registration should be used through the different levels of Smartacus 2024. Using a different mobile number will lead to disqualification.
- 4. Participants should NOT register more than once for Smartacus 2024. Registering more than once using different mobile numbers and attempting the quizzes using different IDs will lead to disqualification.
- 5. For the Online Qualifier, participants should log in to Kahoot! at least 5 minutes before the commencement of the different rounds of the quiz. Joining late may result in the participant not being able to answer questions and gain points.
- 6. The decision of the proctors and quizmasters will be final and binding. Participants can register a grievance with the proctor / quizmaster either during or after the event, but the final decision will be made by the quizmaster.
- 7. Participants who engage in disruptive behaviour, such as purposely distracting the quizmaster or triggering opponents team members can be removed from the competition at the discretion of the quizmaster.
- 8. In case of any legal dispute, all disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
Online Qualifier
- 1. The Online Qualifier is an individual round comprising both Multiple-choice and Type-in questions. Participants will be provided 30-60 seconds to answer every question.
- 2. Participants are advised to NOT attempt the Online Qualifier more than once and only use their registered ID. Attempting the quiz multiple times or using an unregistered mobile number can lead to disqualification.
- 3. Participants are advised to not open multiple tabs or switch between tabs during the Online Qualifier as this may slow down the system and make it difficult for the participant to participate effectively.
- 4. If a participant falls out of the platform during the quiz owing to legitimate reasons, such as a power cut or internet connectivity issues, they are advised to re-login to the platform using the same username. Such participants are requested to send an e-mail to support@ottplay.com detailing their problem, so OTTplay team can validate their claim and not disqualify them on the ground of multiple attempts.
- 5. Participants should submit their answers as soon as they finish answering. While the answer typed in will be submitted once the timer runs out, the participant will lose on gaining points awarded for timing.
- 6. Participants need not focus on spellings. The system is calibrated to accept words that are close in spelling to the answer.
- 7. For Sub-Junior and Junior Categories, Prize Winners shall be selected from the Online Qualifier Round scores only; for Cadet & Senior Categories, the Quiz will be mandatorily held across 3 rounds – the Online Qualifier, the National Semi Final, and National Finale.
- 8. Rules for the National Semi Final and National Finale Round shall be communicated separately to the respective participants who qualify for these subsequent rounds (Cadet and Senior Categories only).
