This Spy Thriller Killing Eve is based on Villanelle's novel stories by Luke Jennings. The series has received mostly positive reviews, particularly due to its writing and performance from the female leads.

The makers of the show used to hire a new female head writer for each new season for the series. The first season was executed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Emerald Fennell took over the second one.

This American dark comedy series follows Villanelle, who is a female assassin and becomes an obsessed agenda for Eve Polastri, a British intelligence investigator. However, both the female leads get deviated from their original mission to desperately learn more about each other. Killing Eve mostly defines feminism as a comeback answer for misogynists. Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh both were terrified if they would get the role because of their then situation.

While Jodie was with her friends at a music festival and nursing a hangover when she got the call to audition. Sandra, on the other hand, said that she always used to be in a secondary role and had no idea whom the producers wanted her to play. However, the makers of the show, Jodie Comer as Villanelle and Sandra as Eve clicked together for a great duo. According to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Sandra cannot be replaced with anyone for the character of Eve.

The Phoebe Waller-Bridge show on globe-trotting espionage and assassins will be taken up by a new screenwriter for its fourth season, as Laura Neal takes over the reins from Season 3's Suzanne Heathcote. Villanelle has become involved with missionary work, and Carolyn is desperate to chase the person who ordered Kenny's killing and unravel the Twelve. Fiona Shaw, who essays Carolyn, takes centre stage, as Jodi Comer's Villanelle and Sandra Oh's Eve circle each other for one final lethal time. Eve seeks to channel her humanity, and Villanelle's inherent moral damage is inescapably clear despite her best intentions at foraging for goodness. The final fourth season will explore if they can fully dislodge themselves from each other's paths.
