I'm a Virgo

Created by Boots Riley, I’m a Virgo is a 2023 comedy sci-fi drama series following the story of Cootie a 13 ft tall Black teenager. This coming-of-age story looks at Cootie who has been sheltered and hidden by his adoptive parents from a world that would turn him into a science experiment or ostracise him if they saw him. Unfortunately, he gets spotted by a group of teen political activists and gets introduced into the outside world. The rest of the series involves Cootie navigating the world through friendships, awkward situations, capitalism, love and discovering the truth about the superhero he has idolized, “The Hero”. The show's cast includes Jharrel Jerome (Cootie), Brett Gray (Felix), Kara Young (Jones), Walton Goggins (The Hero), Mike Epps (Martisse), and Carmen Ejogo (Lafrancine) among others.
