Serving as a prequel to the 1978 film "Grease", Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is an American musical romantic comedy television series created by Annabel Oakes. Set in 1954, four years before the events of Grease, the plot follows four fed-up misfit students who join forces to bring out the moral panic that will transform Rydell High forever and take their place as the founding mothers of the first high school clique known as the "Pink Ladies". The series features performances from Marisa Davila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso, Tricia Fukuhara, Shanel Bailey, Madison Thompson, Johnathan Nieves, Jason Schmidt, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper, and Jackie Hoffman, among others.
