Phoenix Rising

Evan Rachel Wood, an actress and activist, uses her experience as a survivor of domestic violence to seek justice, heal generational scars, and reclaim her story. Wood co-authors and successfully lobbies for the passage of The Phoenix Act, legislation that extends the statute of limitations for domestic assault claims in California, almost a decade after exiting a dangerous relationship.
