Story:

Risen from the dead, Ava is tasked with fighting the ultimate evil, to make her world a better place. Will she succeed?

Review:

“Humans responds to two things – fear and money. And money isn’t worth it.”

The greatest evil of Warrior Nun – Adriel – who disguises himself as Jesus – is back and he is here to cause fear and chaos among the humans. He wants them to listen to him but only the Warrior Nuns know his true intention.

As magic and bloodshed continues and grows fourfold, you enter the world of Warrior Nun once again. Warrior Nun season 2 commences from where the first ended - with the nuns fighting Adriel.

Set in Switzerland, this season pulls you in with everything, especially the vibe. It is also set in Spain, Portugal, Madrid and Prado. Do we even need to tell you how amazing the vibe of the show is after mentioning these places?

Vatican City, where the story began, is in focus too. The city is nothing like before.

Alba Baptista's Ava steps in instantly and despite the new plot, she is quite believable in it too. Nonetheless, despite the change, she is back in action and that is so lovely to see after so long.

Of course, Ava, being the ultimate Warrior Nun who the halo chose, has a lot more to offer than most others in this season. She has a graph that takes a 360 degree turn within the story.

Toya Turner's Mary is a name that is constant in the story for obvious reasons. Nobody knows what happened to her. That question keeps you hooked for quite some time.

Adriel, who caused chaos and fear last season, does so even this time. This season, that happens with talk itself. When Adriel finally appears, it's just like last time. He appears like Jesus but to those who have seen him, he is nothing but chaos. William Miller is once again perfect in the role. He brings the emotions of the devil while pretending to be an angel.

Kristina Tonteri's Sister Beatrice is quite adorable and so inspiringly progressive for a nun. Similarly, Sylvia Fantie's Mother Superior aka Susan is also all power this time around.

Tristan Ulloa as Father Vincent always had an interesting graph and that continues this time around too. His interactions with Ava and the Warrior Nuns are one of the best things to happen to the series.

The action in this show is just as on point as always. It is still brilliant to see every warrior nun in action and even stuck in the midst of the action. The scenario created around the action actually truly grips you.

Somaritans are introduced in this season. They bring more to the table, as expected of them.

The first episode ends on such a high it gives you hope for what's coming ahead. Whether these nuns can defeat Adriel is a huge question that the season answers.

Staying true to its theme, the series gets scary strange from time-to-time. Just when you think the craze finally died, comes another museum heist. It's almost inspired from Money Heist but is still unique.

Lilith, staying true to the name, is savage. She is the best out of the warrior nuns and does not mind getting her hands dirty every now-and-then, making this season as much an interesting watch. Lorena Andrea in the role manages to keep you intrigued with her expressions alone. She, too, has a massive change in graph, one that you should definitely watch out for till the very end.

Ava and Lillith's confrontation is one of the highest points of the series. We mean that with every single scene of them together.

Suspense and deceit, like always, is high. Adriel's story finally unfolds this time and brings light into the chaos. The show gets dramatic and realistic in the right proportion, which is what makes Warrior Nun such a hit among the viewers.

The show can get too gruesome for its own good. At the same time, it is also magical. And that is what makes Warrior Nun season 2 a good watch.

Verdict:

Warrior Nun is a lengthy show. You cannot watch it in one go. However, the plot is interesting enough if you are a person who believes in God, evil, humans and magic. If you do, you will be gripped in every episode of this season, just like the last. Give it a try for sure.
