The makers have brought in a whole new setting in Raktanchal season 2 and you really have no one to focus on. Vijay Singh and Waseem Khan are clearly not the sole focus of the season but you never understand who is.

Story:
Waseem Khan has entered politics and Vijay Singh too has a hold on it in many ways. However, he has not even touched being a politician. After four years of staying hidden, he needs to figure if he has to come out in the open and if yes, then how.
Review:
Raktanchal season 2 shifts its focus from Waseem Khan and Vijay Singh. It brings many other characters into play which is good at times and bad at many other times. The series gets sophisticated but in the process, you tend to feel that it loses out on what it originally set to achieve.
Karan Patel as Himanshu Patnaik makes his entry almost instantly on the show. He fits in the theme of the series like a hand-in-a-glove. The actor does not waver for even a bit and each scene featuring him is the one you will want to watch.
Almost just as instantly, Vijay Singh (Kranti Prakash) comes back in action from the shadows. His actions, however, are far away from what happens in the shadows. He enters with a blast, literally and not in the OTT sense.
This time, Vijay is just as ruthless, killing anyone he sees as a threat without so much so as looking back at the chaos he has caused. Thus, Vijay becomes a second Waseem Khan this time.
Ashish Vidyarthi as Ramanand is impressive from the first frame. His role is of more than just a politician and you really can never guess what is going on in his mind till even the very last minute. The scene between him and Roli is one that will stay back with you.
Bilal is back and he is still the same - someone you instantly dislike. Soon, though, he gets sidelined in the series.
Since this is Raktanchal we're talking about, it doesn't take a genius to know violence will follow. By the second episode, you see gruesome violence and know what you are in for.
Nikitin Dheer as Waseem Khan goes sophisticated. He definitely grabs your attention and makes you believe that something huge is coming your way. The way he underestimates everyone is infuriating and at the same time, the demand of the character.
It takes time but the series gets back on track with Vijay Singh and Katta (Krishna Bhat) at the centre of it. If you loved Kranti Prakash in season 1, you will want to see more of him in season 2. That's the kind of impact he leaves on you.
Vikram Kochhar develops slowly in the role of Sanki. While he was the centre of attention in season 1, he could get a little too much in season 2. In turn, his female counterpart is a complete bawaal in the series.
Mahie Gill (Saraswati) shines as a woman in power. She doesn't bring something completely new to the table but is still impressive.
The music of the show is awesome as always. It gets you in sync with the theme of the show - violence.
The series has turned around from season 1. This time, the focus is not on Waseem Khan and Vijay Singh alone. In fact, they both are just pawns in the bigger game. This fact is not necessarily a bad thing - just that it doesn’t roll about like what is expected of it - but like mentioned, that isn't necessarily bad.
The final scene will leave you wondering. It is a cinematographic marvel, most definitely, but this scene makes you wonder is it really the last because the season has ended on such an abrupt note. You are forced to rack your brains but then again, not so much because the answer is in front of you.
Verdict:
Raktanchal season 2 is a plot that grips you and then leaves you confused. It introduces so many characters, including the old gamers Waseem Khan and Vijay Singh but never really tells you who the focus is on. While Vijay Singh and Waseem Khan's madness held on season 1 firmly, that is missing with the second season since, especially as the show comes to an end, you are left wondering, who are we really looking out for?
