Love Is Blind season 2 (After The Altar episodes) review: A final goodbye to OG couples from the show

Story:

What happened to all the couples who met on Love Is Blind season 2 and wanted to get married or got married? A look into their lives currently (or what was util very recently).

Review:

The Love Is Blind couples had their reunion and all the drama ensued when that happened. So you can only imagine what happens when the gang has whole new episodes dedicated to what happened to them 'after the altar.' The wounds are fresh and all the couples hurt but nonetheless, they are here in the public eye, forsaking their personal space and letting everyone see everything, selectively.

Kyle and Deepti, who made headlines for them getting cozy post the reunion, are here. The two actually grow through the episodes. He goes on to call her his 'highlighter' which is cheesy, hilarious but super cute. The two might literally be the only couple left from the show.

Shayne went back to Shaina after Natalie left him at the altar. They aren't dating but are great friends. After the scandal, the two are complicated who make it look absolutely normal. Shaina has a boyfriend named Chris currently and there’s a lot of complication when it comes to Shayne, Shaina, Natalie and Chris. While Shayne, Shaina and Chris are on one side, Natalie is on the other. Who is correct? Who knows!

Nick and Danielle were still married when the show was shot. They were stable to the extent that they can plan years in advance. The two were literally goals, till their recent divorce.

Iyanna and Jarrette were still in the dating phase despite being married. The two clearly had trouble adjusting and you are sure that there will some drama soon. Soon enough, you do see that.

As always, Shake is a part of every conversation. Mostly, sure, he is mocked. The man never actually makes it to the show and for the sanity of all our mental health, it would appear so.

Mallory makes it to the episodes and she refuses to open up about her relationship status after being rejected by Salvador at the altar. He, on the other hand, makes it to the party with his girlfriend Jessi, when his ex-fiance Mal is already at the bash. There's an equal amount of drama and cordial friendships around these two. The eventual outcome of that, though, is heartwarming for all Sal, Mal and Jessi.

Nick describing his mother-in-law is hilarious and literally every son-in-law ever! When it comes to in-laws though, nobody beats Iyanna and Jarrette's. That family is one you would wish you had because of how they stick together, stay strong and resolve issues face-to-face.

Just when you see things going smoothly, kaboom, there comes Shaina at Natalie's birthday bash! Shaina is now engaged and Natalie needs to decide between revenge or moving on. Not very surprisingly, the drama just doesn't seem to end when there's Shayne, Shaina, Natalie and Chris involved. Sometimes there’s avoiding actions and sometimes there’s taking them. Who’s right and who’s wrong? Who are we to judge them?

On the other hand, Nick and Danielle simply keep setting friendship and love goals. They make for the perfect end but Iyanna and Jarette sorting things out is the realest and sweetest end to the series, at least for now.

There's a hint of new episodes dropping in anytime soon. Unfortunately though, since all the Love Is Blind season 2's OG couples are now no longer married, there's only a 50-50 chance of new episodes dropping.

Verdict:

Love Is Blind season 2 - After The Altar - episodes are heartbreaking. It is rude to an extent, considering that none of the couples actually made it from where they began. As always, there's friendship, love and drama but with these episodes, the real question lies - how far would anyone go for the sake of high TRP?
