Kimetsu Academy Story review: Part funny, part creepy

Story:

Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko and Tanjiro get enrolled in Kimetsu Academy, where all the Demon Slayers teach regular school subjects. They deal with day-to-day life around Valentine's Day in a co-ed school.

Review:

Kimetsu Academy Story is just as you expect from the Demon Slayer gang Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke. It is wild and calm at the same time. While Tanjiro brings in the calm, Inosuke manages the wild side. Zenitsu, as always, is a runner who thinks he's a loser till he actually isn't.

The trio has to take up various subjects. Zenitsu's pervert side is revealed soon and Tomioka is someone to look forward to. Talking about perverts, there is a scene where Zenitsu and Tengen Uzui meet each other. It is like a paradise where only the perverts live. In front of them, Tanjiro looks like an alien. In another episode, the two even have a weird merge which is hilarious beyond words.

Inosuke's famous butthead is a part of the series and it makes for a hilarious moment. The way he looks to people for a fight is his best quality and it is maintained in every single episode, lasting for barely over a minute.

This series can be tagged as a dream sequence and thus, Rengoku is also a part of the show. He is optimistic as ever which is just so heartwarming to watch!

Kimetsu Academy Story also has a moment from Naruto. The makers stole Deidara's favourite line but it fits well with the situation and thus, one could let this moment pass.

Gyomei Himejima talks about a 'weirdo' in the academy but by that point, you really cannot distinguish because literally everyone is a weirdo in their own way. However, that aspect doesn't even matter anymore since the series gets an aww-doringly sweet ending scene.

Verdict:

Zenitsu gets the most role in this series and thus, Kimetsu Academy Story becomes creepy automatically. However, it also has a sweet side to it. The series also maintains its funny elements. If you are just too much of a Demon Slayer fan, then you might like this series but since there are no action sequences in this dream sequence show, do not keep your expectations too high.
