Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar Review: Sharib Hashmi and Anupriya Goenka's thriller series misses the mark with its incoherent narrative

Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar plot: ZEE5's latest mystery thriller, Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar is now streaming on the OTT platform. The Hindi-language series is directed by Prabal Baruah and stars Sharib Hashmi, Anupriya Goenka, and Aamir Dalvi in the lead roles. The plot follows Ved, played by Sharib Hashmi, whose life turns dark when his wife Meera mysteriously disappears. Ved's desperate search for answers plunges him into a maze of disturbing events and mysterious clues, leading to an exciting investigation.

Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar, the latest mystery thriller series on ZEE5, stars Sharib Hashmi and Anupriya Goenka as Ved and Meera. Ved's life turns upside down after his wife Meera disappears under mysterious circumstances. The series begins with a gripping narrative, however, it misses the mark as it is filled with incoherent plot mostly and it is very predictable so you can skip several scenes to reach the main point. 

Coming back to the plot, after his wife goes missing, Ved files a missing person's complaint.
As the police begin their investigation, Ved gets a big shock when a woman (Anupriya Goenka) arrives at his house claiming to be his wife. However, he is forced to accept when his daughter and his wife Meera's sister, Aditi (Kriti Garg), say she is the one.

Since then, Ved's confused journey begins! He thinks that the woman who is living with him as his wife, is an imposter and people around him say that he has been battling mental issues and memory loss for a while now. 

If you have already watched Khoj (1989) starring Rishi Kapoor, this new Hindi series offers nothing new. The 7-episodic series feels tiring with some scenes and dialogues coming across as forceful. However, the series manages to maintain a sense of suspense for some parts and that is quite clap-worthy. 

Speaking about performances, Sharib Hashmi, Anupriya Goenka, and Aamir Dalvi deliver commendable performances. The series highlights the importance of women's rights, shows the consequences of domestic violence, and delves into the meaning of childhood traumas.

Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar Verdict

Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar, the Hindi-language mystery thriller series starring Sharib Hashmi, Anupriya Goenka, and Aamir Dalvi did not hit the mark as it lacks a fascinating mystery. Some scenes indeed deserve praise as it maintains a sense of suspense. You can skip some parts as the final episode unveils a lot of secrets and brings clarity to Meera and her life finally.
