Kadha Innuvare Story: The arrival of Lakshmi as his senior in the office has an optimistic effect on the middle-aged Ramachandran. They become new friends with one another, and this gradually develops into a desire to start a new life together in spite of all the obstacles. The movie, meanwhile, travels through several stages of love set in different time periods.
Kadha Innuvare Review: Though it may not have the greatest chance of making a lasting impression on the audience as a whole, Vishnu Mohan's sophomore film Kadha Innuvare is nonetheless a charming love tale that can be watched in a light-hearted way. As to its description, the movie provides an insight into the diverse facets of love across different stages of the life of an individual.
The film opens with a glimpse of Ramachandran, a middle-aged government employee, whose life changes when Lakshmi, a senior officer, joins his office. The two grow close to one another and find solace in one another within a short time span. Nevertheless, misconceptions about late marriage and unwarranted criticism from their loved ones bring barriers in their path. In addition, Kadha Innuvare explores many stages of love portrayed by diverse individuals.
The makers sensitively and without overdoing the dramatic components portray a range of love's emotions. Some may appear cliche to the Malayali audience—for example, the school-time romance that has been featured in multiple films. But the performances, which are the film's main strength, really bring the emotions to life. Additionally, they have not taken too long to reveal the love interests of each character. The finest thing is that all of the storylines are combined into a two-hour film, leaving spectators curious about what comes next for each character.
Playing Ramachandran is a piece of cake for Biju Menon, who is known for his ability to portray endearingly straightforward people. Methil Devika, meanwhile, is graceful to watch as Lakshmi, who is not hesitant to express her feelings. Hakkim Shajahan has once again displayed his range as an actor by giving a strong and moving performance.
Another performer whose act is sure to make the audience get emotional is Appunni Sasi. Anu Mohan, Nikhila Vimal, and Anusree, among other prominent actors, have contributed enough significant moments to the movie, making an appealing impact on the viewers. The music composed by Ashwin Aryan is perhaps another excellent aspect of this film.
Amid all its minor flaws, the movie may appear predictable at one point. It will not seem like an enjoyable experience to someone who does not believe in one-sided love or falling in love at first sight.
Kadha Innuvare Verdict: The performances and the heartfelt way in which Vishnu Mohan showcases the beauty of falling in love at different generations make this film stand out.
