Story:
Manokamna (Nushrratt Bharuccha) is a saleswoman by nature. In search for a job, she gets stuck trying to sell condoms.
Review:
As Janhit Mein Jaari begins, the film takes a funny turn. Nushrratt Bharuccha will impress you instantly with her wit. Her character is one that develops the most and you will love how it unfolds.
Paritosh Tripathi as Devi is equally a delight to watch. He is the atrangi character you didn't ask for but are still happy to have. He brings in the comic respite you wanted with the movie. Every scene with this actor is a ride in itself.
The movie is relatable to every daughter born in a middle-class family. It is entertaining to the core because the family is so toxic and low on self-esteem that it is funny to watch them as we live in a world that has progressed way beyond their thoughts.
The film has sarcasm on point. It could get a bit too much at times but is still entertaining. From the mother to daughter, everyone is too savage in this movie.
The situations around the film are too funny to ignore. Vijay Raaz imagining funny scenarios is one such situation that is sure to make you smile, if not laugh.
Vijay Raaz as Manokamna's father-in-law is hilarious and fits right in the script. In fact, like always, he takes it to a whole new level. This is one actor who can be serious and still, bring out the fun element.
Anud Singh Dhaka as Ranjan is cute. He is almost like Ranveer Singh in Jayeshbhai Jordaar - trying to break out and be brave for the right thing. The love triangle between him, Manokamna and Devi is hilarious.
Janhit Mein Jaari has the perfect balance between drama and entertainment. It works best because of how relatable this film is, in terms of how the family members are and behave.
The movie tries to start a revolution in the best way possible - through entertainment. How Manokamna manages to break the stereotypes is commendable. Nushrratt talking to the viewers in third person is pretty refreshing and in a way, needed. It marks the perfect end to this easy-breezy yet important film.
Verdict:
If you love entertainment and are from a middle-class family, then Janhit Mein Jaari is made for you. While many will call it an adult film because of how it promotes condom throughout, that is the exact thought that the film targets and thus, even kids can watch this movie and hopefully, learn something for a better future. So, watch this one with your family for the fun and smiles along with a good message.
