Story: The Ridhi Dogra and Barun Sobti starrer is the latest romantic drama series on Amazon miniTV that chronicles an unconventional love story of completely opposite people, and it's certainly a reminder of Ross and Rachel's extraordinary chemistry from the American sitcom Friends.

Review: Badtameez Dil is one of those light-hearted romantic drama series that reminds you of some of the famous and classic Hollywood rom-coms such as He's Just Not That Into You, Friends with Benefits, and When Harry Met Sally, among others.

The latest Amazon miniTV show begins by subtly showcasing how Liz and Karan (played by Ridhi and Barun) cross paths and finally meet in the most unexpected and weird situation due to their mutual friends in the city of London.

Karan is a practical young man, who doesn't like to complicate love with sex, while Liz, aka Himmat, is a hopeless romantic woman. A few events led Liz and Karan to live together in the latter's apartment. Even after knowing Karan's lifestyle and thoughts on relationships, Liz couldn't save herself from falling for him, but the latter breaks her heart and finally realises his true feelings for her when she vanishes from his life.

The series takes the audience on a roller coaster ride through the relationship between the two, as even after years of separation, they both couldn't stop themselves from falling for each other again. Although they had been dating each other for some time, they broke up again, and the silsila continues.

Their adorable yet weird relationship often reminds you of Ross and Rachel's extraordinary chemistry in Friends. On the other hand, the series subtly hints at their fondness for the famous American sitcom, as Liz and Karan often appear to be watching it together. The latter even refers to her muse as Rachel multiple times.

Ridhi and Barun just steal your heart as performers with one of their most charming acts ever as well as their chemistry, which is so adorable! After Asur and Badtameez Dil, fans definitely need to see more of this beloved on-screen couple with various stories.

Created by Ektaa R Kapoor, it also has Mallika Dua, Minissha Lamba, and Suparna Marwah, who play important characters and help take Badtameez Dil to perfection with their flawless performances.

The series definitely seems a tad bit stretchy in the middle, while the end stuns you with an unexpected plot twist and again reminds you of Ross and Rachel.

Verdict: It won't be wrong to say that the Prashant Baghia directorial is an endearing ode to the iconic television jodi Ross and Rachel, and we love it. Badtameez Dil makes for a perfect weekend watch with your date, friends, or family. Stream the latest web series on Amazon miniTV for free.
