Review:
Ek ladka aur ladki kabhi dost nahi ho sakte! However, the young generation of the 21st century has been successful in breaking this age-old myth these years. The first tale in this series of love stories is about Faisal and Kajal, who fondly call each other Faizu and Kaju, respectively.
The 30-minute episode chronicles the bond between two friends, who talk to each other every single night. They are both like Jimmy Shergil and talk about their romantic relationships with each other. The episode titled Pyaar, Dosti aur Jimmy Paaji shows that they both support each other when it comes to their respective relationships but they couldn’t resist the feeling of jealousy when one of them is not available for another.
The episode has very smoothly delivered what it supposed to be between two best friends, who are of opposite genders and hence proven that- ‘Ek ladka aur ladki dost ho sakte!’
Another tale titled Pyaar is a Bitch stars Adah Sharma as someone who pretends to hate everything and everyone in order to hide her heartbreak. The independent woman unwillingly gets to keep a pet dog, which brightens up her life and teaches her to live a happy life. Adah’s bond with Happy, the dog, might feel like a repetitive concept to showcase, however, it makes for a perfect and cheerful watch.
Meanwhile, the third tale chronicles a husband’s love for his wife suffering from Alzheimer's and who tends to forget him within every 10-15 minutes. The episode titled SRK Wala Pyaar portrays the unconditional love of a man for his woman even during the toughest circumstances.
The final chapter is the funniest one, which resonates so much with the couples today. A millennial love duo goes to watch a film in a theatre. The boyfriend waits, while the girlfriend arrives too late. After meeting inside the cinema hall, they both start fighting but soon patch things up and start joking around.
All these stories in Aisa Waisa Pyaar seem unique from the writing perspective and screen presentation and the actors' commitments to their characters make it quite a fun and interesting watch.
Meanwhile, the one thing that looked a little new and interesting, is that a character is connected to another character from different episodes.
Verdict:
Director Ashiish Patil’s concept about love has been presented and executed well in Aisa Waisa Pyaar. The latest anthology is a must-watch.
