Story:

Elvis keeps getting flashbacks at random. As an agent, he cannot afford to stay that way. What is the whole truth behind the flashbacks?

Review:

Set in Canada, Agent Elvis is based on Elvis Presley but ends up being a mockery. The godforbidden music only adds to the joke.

Here, we have Elvis and a literal monkey, Scatter, as his partner in crime. Obviously, things get wild with them in play.

The story gets interesting. There are various depictions - storybook and animation - that works for the show. The suspenseful music is just an add-on to that.

The humour in the season works 90% of the times. With Scatter, there's always intense dark humour.

Each episode has new action scenes. That works well in favour of the show.

The jokes get dirty so if that is your thing, you are sure to enjoy this series to the fullest. Right from poop jokes to sexual ones, Agent Elvis covers everything.

The black culture remarks are back. It has a little twist.

After one point, much like you should expect, the show gets trippy. Of course, it gets bizarre and some would even call it cool.

Elvis is the eventual hero of the show. His personality is bigger than anybody's in the series.

Matthew McConaughey, who voices Elvis, does a fab job at it. His variation works well.

Scatter is a hero in his own way. Despite his rowdy behaviour, this one is on a mission and does everything to succeed that.

The end of this show is a cliffhanger, in a sense. Nonetheless, everything fits and so it works pretty well.

Verdict:

Agent Elvis is not a show for Elvis Presley fans. However, if entertainment is your motto, then you have come to the right place.
