The official title launch and muhurtha of Rishi's action flick Rudra Garuda Purana was held at a temple in Basavanagudi. Sathish Ninasam was the chief guest, who launched the title and sounded the first clap.

Rishi returns to cop mode
"After Kavaludaari, I was not accepting any cop role, and was sure that if I did, it had to be special and not repetitive. I wanted to be careful in selecting such subjects. When Nandish narrated the script, I was impressed by the intention behind the film and agreed to be a part of it," said Rishi at the film's muhurtha.

Title inspired by the puranas
