Archana and her early life

Archana was born on September 26 1962 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The actress completed her education at Lady Sri Ram College for Women in Delhi with English honors.

When Archana finally found her soulmate

Archana is married to actor Parmeet Singh, who is her second husband. She had already gone through a divorce before she entered the entertainment industry. Archana is seven years older than her husband and once revealed on The Kapil Sharma Show that she and Parmeet had eloped in the middle of the night and got married in a local temple in 1990. They later welcomed their two sons together named Aryamann and Ayushmann.

Archana’s on-screen debut

She made her on-screen debut with Nari Hira's TV movie Abhishek opposite Aditya Pancholi in 1987. She was later seen in supporting roles in Bollywood movies like Agneepath (1990), Saudagar (1991), Shola aur Shabnam (1992), Aashiq Awara (1993) and Raja Hindustani (1996).

She was in a dance number

The actor/reality show judge has been part of a number of item songs as well. She featured in the tracks in Govinda-starrer thriller Baaz and the Suniel Shetty starrer Judge Mujrim.

Archana tried her luck at anchoring with Wah, Kya Scene Hai on Zee TV in 1993 and later for Uncensored. She became part of many Television serials as well. The actress was seen in Shrimaan Shrimati and Junoon. She also hosted Archana Talkies.

Archana is a turned director too

Archana is a multi-faceted personality who has aced every role of hers. Apart from acting and hosting, she also tried her hand at direction. Archana directed sitcoms like Jaane Bhi Do Paaro and Nehle Pe Dehla. The filmmaker also produced Samne Wali Khidki.

She tried her luck at dancing along with her husband

Archana and her husband, Parmeet Sethi, competed in the dance reality series Nach Baliye 1 in 2005. They were evicted in the sixth episode. The couple later co-hosted the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2006 (season 1).

The Kapil Sharma Show brought her back in limelight

Archana’s career took a different trajectory when she started featuring as a judge in comedy shows. She started her gig with Comedy Circus as a judge on the show in 2006 and 2008. After being associated with the show, she featured on The Kapil Sharma Show in 2019. The actress replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu on the show.
