Emmy Awards 2022: Complete list of winners
The Outstanding Drama Series award at the 74th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was given to HBO's Succession in Los Angeles. It was the second trophy for the series in the major competitions after its victory in 2020. For the second time in a row, Ted Lasso on Apple TV+ won the Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy, and The White Lotus on HBO won for Limited or Anthology Series.
Lee Jung-jae of Squid Game won his first Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Zendaya from Euphoria, Jason Sudeikis from Ted Lasso, and Hacks' Jean Smart all won Emmys for comedy, drama, and lead actor tonight.
There was a bottleneck at the top of the winners list following the two ceremonies for the Creative Arts Emmys last weekend, including the juried winners revealed in August. The White Lotus on HBO, however, took home 10 Emmys overall after winning five awards tonight, including two for writer-director Mike White. Next, with six awards each, are Netflix's Squid Game and HBO's Euphoria, followed by two more programmes with five awards each: CBS' Adele: One Night Only and Disney+'s The Beatles: Get Back.
Ted Lasso of Apple TV+ had four wins tonight and overall, while The White Lotus is the lone five-time winner so far tonight for the Limited Series with Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge (Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, and MJ Delaney). The only other multiple winners tonight are from ABC's Abbott Elementary (Quinta Brunson and Sheryl Lee Ralph), HBO's Succession (Matthew Macfayden, Jesse Armstrong), and Netflix's Squid Game (Lee Jung-jae, Hwang Dong-hyuk). Other winners of the award include Saturday Night Live; Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Girls; Ozark (Julia Garner), Dopesick (Michael Keaton), Euphoria (Zendaya), and Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel (Jerrod Carmichael).
The complete list of winners is as follows:
