Zoya Akhtar's The Archies coming soon on Netflix

Popular filmmaker Zoya Akhtar is going to be back in action after a break of four years from Bollywood. She last directed Alia Bhatt-Ranveer Singh starrer Gully Boy which became a blockbuster and minted over Rs 100 crores theatrically in the year 2019. Now, Zoya is all set as she awaits the release of her next directorial, The Archies.

The Archies is slated to be released on Netflix this year. The official date of the film's release is not known yet. 

An Instagram post by Netflix India writes: “BRB, kursi ki, aur humari peti baandh rahein hai to go to Riverdale! Grab some Pop Tates’ shakes and burgers and get ready to meet #TheArchies gang, coming soon to @netflix_in! #TheArchiesOnNetflix”

About the cast of the film

This film is one of the most-awaited films of the year as it marks the debut of legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan’s debut. The 23-year-old Suhana Khan, recently in April, also became the brand ambassador of the cosmetic giant Maybelline.

Not only this, but the film also features other celebrities of B-Town such as Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Aditi Seigal and Yuvraj Menda.

Khushi Kapoor is the daughter of film producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi.

Agastya Nanda is the grandson of megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

Mihir Ahuja is best known for his role in Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30.

Vedang Raina is a popular social media influencer who will make his Bollywood debut with The Archies soon. The 26-year-old is often in news for having a close connect with starlets such as Palak Tiwari, Ananya Panday and Navya Naveli Nanda.

Aditi Saigal, also known by her stage name DOT, is an Indian Indie artiste. She is the daughter of Rock Street Journal's founder and well-known musician, Amit Saigal. She is all set to debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.

Yuvraj Menda is a fashion influencer who has over 16,000 followers on Instagram. He is also going to debut in the film, The Archies.

The Archies is a fictional American rock band that features in media produced by, and related to, Archie Comics. An Indian feature film adaptation of The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar.
