Zack Snyder's Green Lantern from Justice League revealed

Hold your horses, Justice League fans, because Zack Snyder has revealed what John Stewart's Green Lantern looked like in his cut of the movie with DC superheroes.

Snyder showed a picture of actor Wayne T Carr dressed as the iconic Green Lantern, John Stewart, on his phone during a recent Q&A session hosted by Cinemark Playa Vista. Ishaan Sangha, a Twitter user, shared the photo of Snyder displaying the picture. Because the image is a screenshot, the quality isn't excellent, but you can see Carr in his classic costume, wearing his Green Lantern power ring.

DC fans are unlikely to see the official version of this picture because John Stewart was removed from Snyder's Justice League at Warner Bros. recommendation. According to Screen Rant, the studio has plans for future Green Lantern projects and asked that Stewart be removed from Justice League in order to save that aspect for subsequent movies of DC Extended Universe.

Though we might not be sure if Green Lantern will be an upcoming DC film or the Green Lantern anthology series coming to HBO Max, John Stewart has been on fans' wish lists for a long time, so his appearance seems highly probable.

John Stewart is among DC's most popular characters, but he is yet to make his live-action debut. The character did not appear in the 2011 Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern film either.

A new Green Lantern film is rumoured to be in the works as part of the DCEU, and it is said to star Stewart.
