Together, Yash Raj Films (YRF) and Netflix will launch a new, multi-year creative alliance. In order to deliver influential stories to audiences in India and around the world, the two entertainers will work together to produce movies and television shows.
The Railway Men, a four-part series starring R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma, and Babil Khan and helmed by debutant director Shiv Rawail, is the first production to result from their collaboration. The second movie, Maharaj, also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari, and Shalini Pandey and marks actor Junaid Khan's directorial debut. The movie is being directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra.

The Railway Men, a show based on the fatal gas leak in the city of Bhopal in central India, was inspired by actual events. On the evening of December 2, 1984, a pesticide factory in the city of Bhopal let off a cloud of deadly gas that maimed thousands of people and killed tens of thousands.
