YRF’s Anupam Kher starrer Vijay 69 to be streamed on Netflix; deets here

‘He can do anything to succeed… even fail’ happens to be the tagline of the veteran actor Anupam Kher’s one act play ‘Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’. In a nutshell, the entire career journey of Anupam Kher can be summed up in this one line. He is the very man who started his career as a leading man at an age of 27 years and he is the very man who still continues to be the leading man in films, even at the age of 68 years! The soon-to-be-released Vijay 69 is one such example. And guess what! Today, the OTT major Netflix announced that the film will soon be streamed on their platform!

The officials of Netflix India took to social media and posted a new poster of the film, along with the announcement that ‘On your marks Sometimes life really is a race- and Vijay is here to win it Vijay 69 is coming soon, only on Netflix! #Vijay69 #Vijay69OnNetflix #NextOnNetflixIndia’. The film’s poster features a caricature of Anupam Kher racing on his cycle with headphones on his ears.

Vijay 69 is a film that’s about triumph over all odds. The film will see Anupam Kher playing the role of a 69-year-old triathlon athlete. And it is for this film that the stellar actor had even learnt swimming last year! While the film has been directed by Akshay Roy (who had earlier directed YRF’s ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’), it is being produced by Maneesh Sharma. The film is being presented by YRF Entertainment.

As for Anupam Kher, besides Vijay 69, the actor is super excited for the release of his much-awaited film Kaagaz 2, which stars him along with the late Satish Kaushik, Neena Gupta with Smriti Kalra and Darshan Kumaar playing the young couple. The film is special to the cinegoers in many ways than one. Topping all the reasons is that the film happens to be the last film of the late Satish Kaushik as an actor.
