Filmmaker Shoonya began his journey with the 2022 gangster drama Head Bush, starring Daali Dhananjaya. The film, which was also produced by Dhanajaya, chronicled the rise of the underworld in Bengaluru in the pre-Emergency era with former real-life don Jayaraj's life forming the crux of the story. Former member of the underworld and renowned author Agni Sreedhar penned the screenplay of Head Bush, which was one of its main highlights ahead of its release in October 2022.

Shoonya, we hear, is now back with his second outing as a director and he will have Yogi aka Loose Mada by his side. The latter, according to the latest reports, will play the lead role in Shoonya's upcoming film which is set to go on floors in April 2023 end. This film, too, the reports reveal, will be a gangster flick but unlike Head Bush, it won't be based on a true story.

The team is currently engrossed in putting things together in terms of the rest of the cast and the core crew. Cinematographer Sunoj Velayudhan, who worked with Shoonya on Head Bush, will be part of this film as well.

Yogi, on the other hand, recently came on board the multistarrer comedy drama Bachelor Party to replace Rishab Shetty in the film. Rishab, who was earlier part of the cast along with Diganth Manchle and Achyuth Kumar, is said to have opted out of the project to focus all his energy on Kantara 2. Yogi joined the team of Bachelor Party a few months ago and the film is said to be currently in the last leg of its shoot. Bachelor Party also stars Siri Ravikumar.
