The trailer of Yodha is finally out and it sees Sidharth as the hero and even more, the warrior. From dialogues to his spirit and even his filmy flirting style, the trailer has everything that you need, and to an extent it will remind you of Shershaah and Mission Majnu. In this clip, Sidharth has also paid homage to Shah Rukh Khan’s Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ).
The trailer
Sidharth plays a reckless soldier named Arun in Yodha trailer. He forces himself on a plane and ends up getting mired in a hijack situation. Terrorism is at the centre of this hijack and he is forced to go through difficult moments all by himself. Disha Patani as the airhostess does come to his rescue but rarely.
The similarity in Yodha, Mission Majnu, DDLJ and Shershaah
The biggest similarity between Shershaah and Yodha is the filmy dialogues. The one dialogue which resembles Shershaah is “Ab iss shareer pe ya toh Yodha ki uniform hoga, ya phir tiranga.” The original was about either waving the flag at the Kargil point or getting wrapped in it to return home.
“Negotiate karna toh kabhi Yodha ka style tha hi nahi,” and “Main rahoon na rahoon, desh hamesha rahega,” are more filmy dialogues from the trailer and it does not end there. Sidharth responding to, “Yeh Hindustani soldiers bahut senti hote hai,” with “Aur sar phire bhi,” will take you back to his role in the Netflix film, Mission Mission.
The proposal in Yodha is inspired from DDLJ, which holds as much power as the simple yet effective proposal in Shershaah. Sidharth literally recreated the SRK signature pose for the same.

Others in the trailer
Raashi Khanna, as we all already know by now, plays Sidharth’s lover in the movie. She gets the proposal and it is the moment Sidharth recreates the DDLJ dialogue.
Disha Patani plays the airhostess who is caught in the flight with Sidharth. She is among those who actively helps him rescue everyone stuck in the hijack situation.
Ronit Roy plays an important role as Sidharth’s father. He is the big inspiration behind the warrior.
Directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, Yodha will release in theatres on March 15, 2024. The film is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and brings back the makers of Shershaah.
