Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fans rejoice! Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone to revive their roles in Kartik Aaryan's Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri?

Kartik Aaryan has an exciting lineup of films ahead! The actor recently announced his new project, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film is being bankrolled by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, and Apoorva Mehta. While Kartik is confirmed as the male lead, Sharvari is reportedly the female lead. The latest development is that the makers are working on the idea of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani star cast's cameos in Kartik's film. Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Kalki Koechlin might reprise their characters.

YJHD stars to be a part of Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri?

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was a hit when it was initially released in 2013. Recently, the film was re-released in theatres, and fans were overjoyed to watch their favorite movie all over again. Amid this, the makers of Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri have reportedly planned to introduce the YJHD star cast in Kartik's film.

"Since this film is a rom-com, and is along the lines of YJHD, this movie seems like a natural progression. They are contemplating roping in the original stars for special appearances. Even if all of them aren’t available, they will try to get two of them to be part of it. These cameos will be a delightful nod to the beloved film," a source told Mid-Day.

The source added that the introduction of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani stars in Kartik's film needs to be seamless and not forced. This thing would be addressed during the writing process.

Kartik Aaryan announces Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri

Kartik Aaryan made an official announcement of Tu Teri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri in December 2024. Sharing a glimpse on social media, Kartik wrote, "Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma’s boy poori karke he rehta hai! Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri… The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026 (sic)."
